Motion Graphic Design

It was important for the entire family of videos to feel consistent and on brand. Using Adobe AfterEffects, I designed the opening sequence that was used across numerous videos and inserted all the graphics throughout.

Videography & Lighting Design

Before heading out to ArtCenter in Los Angeles, there were a couple of upfront challenges to overcome for this shoot. The first challenge was that I was going to be using some specialized setup I don’t normally shoot with, such as the top down view. The second challenge was an extremely tight schedule at ArtCenter. There was no room for error. So I constructed an identical mock setup and practice shoot in Boston to work out the kinks so I could hit the ground running in LA, issue free.

This included multiple camera & lighting tests as well as the least amount of gear to travel with. The final solution consisted of a two camera setup - a small Canon XC15 4K camera was rigged directly overhead, and I had a Canon C100 as front camera. The top camera is directly connected to a Atomos Shogun Inferno 4K recorder, which allows non-stop recording since the top camera is fixed and hard to get to.
